Sales Dashboard

Have you ever felt like you spend more time organizing spreadsheets than actually analyzing your business performance? One of the biggest challenges for a manager is dealing with the complexity of information. Generating meaningful reports by isolating performance by salesperson, the mix of best-selling products, and the revenue of each store (all at the same time) often results in a tangled mess of confusing tables and large files. Without a smart tool, it's easy to get lost in numbers that don't relate to each other.

I developed this report in Power BI using fictitious data to solve exactly that. It eliminates data "noise" and delivers clear, automated views, providing a strategic and intuitive understanding. Check out the main solutions this dashboard offers:

1. Sales and Commissions (Overview)

This screen consolidates the key figures for a quick "glance".

  • What it includes: Three main tables showing revenue and commissions broken down by Store, Salesperson, and Technician, and three bar charts. This is where you see gross revenue (product vs. service), operating costs, and net profit.

  • Date Filter: A selector at the top allows you to adjust the analysis period.

  • Tooltips: Hovering your mouse over the bar charts on the right reveals a floating line chart showing the month-to-month revenue trend for that specific item.

  • Donut Charts: When you hover your mouse over the values in the table, you can see the ratio between products and services.

2. Origin and Products (Mix Analysis)

Focused on understanding what is being sold and where the sales are coming from.

  • What it offers: A detailed analysis by product category (e.g., stove, refrigerator, washing machine). It's ideal for identifying which products have the highest net profit or sales volume.

  • Field parameters: At the top of the screen, you can switch the main view between "Source", "Store" or "Product" with one click, changing the entire structure of the table and line chart below.

  • Segmentation Filters: Buttons to quickly select between Product, Service, Total, Product Cost, and Net Total, adjusting the granularity of the analysis.

3. Store Goals (Performance Management)

Here the focus shifts from "how much I sold" to "how much is left to reach the goal".

  • Features include: Bar charts comparing actual revenue against the target set for each unit, with the option to select one or more branches for analysis. Colors help quickly identify which stores are "in the black" or "in the red."

  • Difference calculations: Tables showing the percentage (%) and absolute (R$) variation in relation to the target, facilitating the analysis of target achievement.

  • Segmentation by category: Filters at the top allow you to view specific targets for Products, Services, or the consolidated Total.

4. Salesperson Goals (Individualization)

The closing screen, focused on people management and incentives.

  • What it provides: Individual performance data for each team member in relation to their personal goals. It's the primary tool for feedback meetings and alignment with salespeople.

  • Vendor filter: A dropdown menu allows you to select one or more specific vendors to compare performance.

  • Comparative charts: Overlapping bars that visually show the distance between the salesperson's current revenue and the target bar.

Results obtained

Meritocracy and transparency in the commission

Calculating commissions manually is a slow and error-prone process. This report automates that process. The manager can view the individual performance of each salesperson and technician, separating commissions by category. This saves administrative staff hours of work and makes information available more quickly for decision-making.

Real-Time Goal Monitoring

Trying to find out if you'll meet your target on the last day of the month is a common mistake. With interactive filters and target tracking (by store and by salesperson), you can act proactively. If a unit is underperforming, the data shows you how to correct course before the month ends.

Cost Analysis and Real Profitability

Having high revenue doesn't necessarily mean high profit. The dashboard shows the Net Total , after deducting operating costs. It's a true picture of the company's financial health.

Why use this solution?

The great advantage of this report is its interactivity . You don't need complex manuals: simply click on the name of a salesperson or store, and all the charts will instantly adjust, revealing details that were previously hidden in endless tables.

Conclusion: More than just a set of charts, this is a strategic management tool. It was designed for those who need quick answers to questions like: "Who is my best salesperson today?" or "Which store offers the best value for money?" .
